Thor tries to save his planet from destruction at the hands of his evil sister.
How can you hire Cate Blanchett only to have her play a typical 2 dimensional comic book movie villain? This decision reflects the whole attitude of the film. It’s all about lots of colour, a trendy synth soundtrack, plenty of in-jokes, some swanky special effects but nothing to keep you interested.
It’s vapid schlock and not really worth discussing much further. There are worse ways to spend a couple of hours but do yourself a favour and go see The Death of Stalin instead.
